The Fairlady: Nissan 370Z
Also called the Fairlady Z in Japan, this poster car was officially went for sale in December 1, 2008. Nissan came out with various models of this car including; Fairlady Z Coupe (2008-), 370Z Coupe (2009-), 370Z Roadster (2009-) and the NISMO 370Z (2009-). The 370Z is much improved from its predecessor, the 350Z. They mostly got rid of the cheap plastic that dominated the interior of the 350Z and replaced it with a more premium leather, as in the 370Z. The 350Z had 306 horsepower at its latest, coming from its naturally aspirated 3.5L V6. However, the 370Z pumps out an amazing 332 horsepower with a 3.7L V6. Exterior wise; the 370Z is generally lower and it is also lighter in terms of curb weight.THE HISTORY OF THE 370Z
The original 370Z Coupe was unveiled in 2009 with sales of the North American model beginning in Nissan Dealers in early 2009. It is a 2 door coupe with a FMR layout, boasting a 3.7l V6. This car is all about the quick-shifting double-clutch gearbox and intelligent all-wheel drive. Comparisons can be drawn between the Datsun 280z and the 370z. However, the 370Z was modernised to fit in with the demanding and fast-paced lifestyle of today.
THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE
The engine is a strong and satisfying companion and the manual gearbox gives a smooth and easy shift. Auto rev-matching is great on track, giving you time to concentrate on lines and braking points rather than what you're doing with your feet. In the inside, the material quality is solid but not extremely luxurious, given its price point.
